Team Registration Information
Team Managers,
The new soccer season is upon us!
The season will start officially the weekend following Labour Day in September.
Returning Teams
This message is also to remind all teams’ intent on returning to the League for the 2022-23 Fall/Winter season, that they must be in good standing prior to team registration being accepted. This means that they must complete the returning team registration form AND ensure that the team has made a non-refundable $500 payment (put towards team performance bond and/or next season fees) once team has confirmed return.
The deadline for the returning team registration form submission is within 7 days’ time: August 20th.
Sooner is better! We would like to see majority of teams complete this form and send payment prior to the end of this weekend.
The deadline for the team’s $500 payment: August 20th.
All outstanding League debts (practice/additional field times, team or player fines, additional player registration fees, game balls, etc.) need to be resolved prior to team registration being accepted.
The deadline for initial team League fees payment ($1,500): September 5th.
The deadline for balance of team League fees payments (estimated $1,350): September 30th.
The $500 payment will be applied to the team’s debts, performance bond or upcoming season’s league fees once the team confirms its return. If the team does not participate in the upcoming season, the $500 payment is forfeited.
Note: if the team has a balance in the Performance Bond, these monies will be added to the bond or returned.
Please contact the League for details. Payment to the League is accepted via cheque made payable to Burnaby Men's Soccer.
Alternate forms of payment are available: cash or e-transfer to registration@bmslsoccer.com are accepted.
Teams that fail to adhere to this deadline, forfeit their spot in the League for this season. In order to return to the League, a team must reapply and are then subject to same rules as new teams (including $500 payment upon acceptance, and must start in Third Division). Of course, spots in the League will be limited and may be full at time of application. Don’t delay!
If teams know in advance that they will not be returning to play next season, please have the consideration to advise the League (via email is fine).
The budget is expected to remain similar to the 2022-23 season. A League meeting is planned for the end of August, and materials will be provided ahead of the season kick-off meeting.

New Teams
We are still looking for new teams!
Please get in touch with us by filling the New Team Registration Form and see if there is interest to have teams apply for available spaces within the League. It is always best for teams that apply to so with references from current League teams. And it is in all teams’ interest to grow the League and share increasing costs with other, strong teams.
